I would like to take this opportunity to let everyone know about the changes to URHOEA as of November 6, 2011.

A meeting of the owners was held in Newport.  The main focus of this meeting was to discuss the results from the Celebration and consider a offer for the association.  The vote was unanimous to sell the Association to a outside individual.  This change will go into effect January 1, 2012.

I will continue to manage United, and I will look forward to working with everyone to make this a stronger organization.

There will be a few changes as follows: 

United will be membership driven, as long as it is in the best interest of the association. 

No Board of Directors, a representative from each state will be nominated and voted on by the membership.

There will be no Judges Committee (one person will be over the judges)  Show Manager’s will be given a list of the approved judges from United and choose their on judge. 

The Show Manager must affiliate 30 days prior to the show date in order to get the judges list.

United Racking would like to thank each and everyone of you that showed with us this past year.  The economy has hurt and effected all of us in the horse industry this year but hopefully it will be more favorable for us this coming year showing and as an organization. 

There will be a meeting for members to ask questions and get answers about what will take place on November  26th, 2011 at the WSCC Expo Center (Jefferson Room) at 1:00 pm-3:00 pm. 

Members will have their first meeting on February 18, 2012 at the WSCC Expo Center in the (Jefferson Room) at 12:00 pm-3:30 pm to elect your Board Committee and go over the rule book and make or add changes that you want to see happen for the association.
Also, would like to let you know that the 2011 High Points Banquet will be February 18, 2012 at the Best Western Plus (formerly the Holiday Inn) in White Pine, TN more information on the back page of your SHT book.
