Trail Riding Rewards Program

Proposed rules for program

1. Horse must be registered with URHOEA.
2. Rider must be a current member of URHOEA.
3. Horse must be entered in URHOEA Trail Riders Program and all entries fees and memberships be paid for calendar year.
4. All hours logged must be forward moving hours on the trail.  No ring hours or horse show hours.  Time spent standing still or picnicking would not count as hours.
5. All hours must be logged in the United Trail Riders Program book.  All hours are to be rounded to the next hour.
6. All log-books must be turned into the URHOEA office by December 31 of each calendar year.
7. All sanctioned trail rides will receive double hours.  Endurance rides will also be logged as double hours.
8. All awards will be handed out at the URHOEA banquet.
9. The URHOEA Trail Program is open to all age riders and we encourage all riders to wear a helmet.  We also encourage riders to ride with a buddy.
10. For the hours to count in the URHOEA Trail Program each rider must have someone who can verify the trail hours for the rider.  This person does not have to ride, but be someone who can verify the rider and horse that rode the hours.  This will aid safe riding so that someone knows where the rider is going and approximately how long the ride will take.  This person must sign the log-book.

Once a horse has entered the URHOEA Trail Program all hours logged with this horse stays with the horse for life.  Membership is $15.00 a year and $25.00 for family.  Each horse entered into the program mush pay a $5.00 entry fee.  This $5.00 fee is a one-time fee.
